When you pick out an outfit for a day in New York City, there are some simple rules I always like to follow: dress in layers to combat the windy side streets when you’re walking, pack a light purse so you’re not carrying more than you need, and make sure your shoes are stylish but comfortable.
The Oka-B Taylor flats are the perfect shoe for long days in NYC. They come in tons of colors (I’m wearing Princess Pink here, great for spring) making them easy to match with any outfit, but are also insanely comfortable made with a gentle massaging arch on the sole. Not to mention, they are made with splash-proof jelly which is easy to clean, ideal for the city.
I paired them with some comfortable ripped jeans and a military-style jacket. I love how the bright pink pop of these shoes gives the outfit a more feminine look. Because I wasn’t blessed to get nice weather in the city, I grabbed this hat from Brooklyn Hat Co. to throw on to avoid that not-too-hot wet dog look. I spent the weekend in NYC with my fiancé picking out his suit for our wedding. I can’t believe we’re getting married in less than two months!
My Oka-B flats took me from champagne at the famous The Roxy Hotel, to shopping along the streets of Soho, to brunch in adorable Tribeca, without any sore feet or smushed toes!
